The Fall Flagship

What the Program Covers

Individual development plan

Every athlete gets an individual mechanical assessment and movement screening, with correctives and drills built from their own data. Arm care is led by the creator of Project 90.

Signature events

2+ college campus weekends per fall (last year: Big 12 champion Kansas and Illinois State), a Prospects-only full PBR showcase at 515 Fieldhouse, and an uncommitted senior showcase — verified data in front of scouts and recruiters.

Tournament play

Players compete in 4–7 tournaments through the fall season. Tournament fees are separate and not included in the fall program fees.

Professional coaching

Every coach has college or pro playing experience and a track record of developing Iowa players into draft picks and college commits — background-checked, certified, and trained through Kingdom Coaching. Meet the staff →

Strength & conditioning

Overseen by Cole McDonald of the Houston Astros organization — pro-level strength programming built for high school arms and bodies.

Data-driven development

Training measured with Trackman, HitTrax, and Edgertronic cameras at 515 Fieldhouse.

National team pathway

A pathway to North National for players ready to compete at the highest level.

Year-round & recruiting

Futures App winter training with video feedback, Hull Nutrition, Mastery Performance mental-skills training, recruiting consultations with David Conrad, and customized off-season programming based on your evaluations.

Every Prospects coach trains through Kingdom Coaching’s leadership program — the same monthly class taken by Vanderbilt head coach Tim Corbin:

“It is a class that I look forward to taking every month and I am motivated further by the energy that is stimulated on that call.”
— Tim Corbin, Head Coach, Vanderbilt University

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is practice?

Indoor practices and training are at 515 Fieldhouse in Grimes. Outdoor practices are on the turf fields at the Grimesplex, just up the road.

Why is this a fall program instead of summer?

In Iowa, high school baseball is played in the summer through school teams. The Prospects fall season (August 4 – October 16) is built around that calendar, so players never have to choose between their school team and their club program.

What does a typical week look like?

Two to three practices a week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. For the first five weeks: one indoor and two outdoor sessions. In the second half of the season: two indoor and one outdoor.

How much do players actually compete?

Each class plays 4–7 weekend events per fall, including 2+ college campus weekends (last year: Kansas and Illinois State) and a Prospects-only PBR showcase at 515 Fieldhouse.

Are tournament fees and college days included in the price?

No. Weekend tournament registrations and college days are separate, so families can work around other commitments and multi-sport schedules.

Do we have to attend every weekend event?

Not at all. We build in flexibility and only ask that you let us know ahead of time when there’s a scheduling conflict.

I’m a multi-sport athlete — can I make it work?

Yes — like college coaches, we love multi-sport athletes. Between the Futures App and mental-skills training, a three-day program becomes an everyday one you can take home. Make the practices you can, and pick the tournaments that fit your schedule.

How does payment work?

Payment is split 50% down at registration and 50% due August 1. Spots are first come, first served. The required apparel package and tournament/college-day fees are separate.

Do returning players need to try out?

No — returning members register directly. New players try out at 515 Fieldhouse: $35 for a group session or $60 for an individual evaluation.

Is apparel required?

Yes. The package includes practice gear, hats, and jerseys, with an option for custom batting gloves. Players wear their practice gear to sessions.

Who runs the program?

High School Director David Conrad (dconrad@iowaprospects.com) leads the program. Strength and conditioning is overseen by Cole McDonald of the Houston Astros organization.
